US F1 Team granted entry into 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship

Charlotte, N.C. (June 12, 2009) – The Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) announced today that US F1 Team was one of three new teams to be granted entry into the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship.

Formula One is a worldwide racing series that holds events in various countries spanning the globe from England to Malaysia. F1, along with the Olympic Games and the World Cup, leads the way as the most recognizable and desirable sporting brand in the world. F1 is the pinnacle of mechanical engineering with the most technologically advanced racecars competing on some of the world’s most challenging tracks with the most talented drivers and race teams.

“Everyone here at US F1 Team is honored to have been granted entry into the FIA Formula One World Championship,” said Team Principal Ken Anderson. “Peter Windsor and I have been working on this project day-in and day-out for much of the last two and a half years and we’re just humbled and completely honored to have been chosen as one of only three new teams for 2010.”

The other two new teams that were granted entry into the FIA Formula One World Championship were Campos Grand Prix and Manor Grand Prix.
